A third-generation attorney, Evangeline (Evie) O. Lalangas took an early interest in health care and studied global public health in undergrad. From her first-generation Greek immigrant parents, she learned about Greek philosophy, ethics, law, and the importance of articulating well-reasoned positions. Her family inspired her interest in law, and her early experiences as a volunteer at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital sparked her lifelong interest in health care. Evie relishes the opportunity to partner with the firm’s clients in a field where results are tangible and the ultimate goal is to keep people healthy.

“I’m a third generation attorney. When I say practicing law is in my blood, I really mean it. And I love it. ”

Evie brings an insider’s perspective to the firm’s health care and business services expertise. Having both a J.D. and Masters of Public Health, and having worked for health-related nonprofits and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, she understands not only the legal issues surrounding health care industry but also the policy and business concerns. Her unique vantage point gives her an intimate understanding of our clients’ perspectives, and enables her to help them achieve their goals, both in the health care field and beyond.

Outside of work, Evie enjoys running, spending time outdoors, going to concerts and playing piano. She is currently learning guitar. She also enjoys traveling, having studied abroad in France and having spent many summers with her family in Greece.
