March 30th is National Doctor’s Day!
Yes, tomorrow is National Doctors’ Day, and here at ByrdAdatto we couldn’t be more proud to represent some of the most successful and accomplished doctors in the country. For those of you who don’t know much about National Doctors’ Day, it’s actually a nationally recognized day that has been around for some time. Its purpose is to celebrate the contribution of physicians who care for our country’s sick and injured citizens. It was first celebrated in 1933 in Winder, Georgia, when the wife of a prominent physician decided to send greeting cards to area physicians to celebrate their service. The tradition caught on, and on March 30, 1958, a resolution commemorating the day was adopted by the United States House of Representatives. It was then formally codified through legislation in 1990.
While the traditional way to celebrate National Doctors’ Day is to send cards to physicians or place flowers on the gravesites of those who have passed, if you’ve missed the window to send a card feel free to give your local doctor a hug! And make sure to visit the official website of National Doctors’ Day at doctorsday.org to get a reminder of future days, order cool gifts, and read the proclamation signed by Congress formally enacting the day.
If you can’t find time to thank your doctor, do the next best thing – thank your doctor’s attorney! And if you don’t know who that is, thank us and we’ll pass the message along. Thanks!
